two quick questions:

1. can you change the front LCD display from the current different-shades-of-blue circles?

2. how do you turn the speakerphone on during a call? is that even possible?

any help would be appreciated. thanks.

1. the only way to change the outside display is to change your color theme. If you go to:

Menu -> Settings -> Personalize -> Color Styles

those few color schemes each have their own specific outside display. Other than that, you cant change them.

2. Speakerphone can be toggled on/off during a call as much as youd like. Just press and hold the smart button on the left side of the phone (the one on the bottom) to turn it on/off.

hope that helps

i tired the speakerphone trick, and it didn't work. when i keep the speakerphone button, on the side of the phone, pressed during a phone call, it ends up recording the call, not turning on the speakerphone. is it just my phone that's doing this, or is there something wrong with my phone?

Nothing is wrong I would guess. You press and hold for about a second, then let go. It's also the button on the left side under the volume control, NOT the one with the little speaker icon on the right side (yes, that is always voice record and it's meant to be used to make a note during a call). Really a sucky job of labelling on Moto's part...
