My local store had trouble with the flash yesterday and said to call about it today. When I called, the tech said he had received an e-mail saying to not flash phones after he had done all of their stock.
There are a couple of posts about it on Howard Forums. One person was told that Motorola asked them to stop until they could resolve a problem.

Well, it doesn't work with the Million + cars that need OBEX, does it?
The OR version is a poor excuse for fully enabling the V710 abilities that Motorola designed into the phone.
