here's one i don't think anyone's asked:
when i charge my phone, the ringer automatically sets itself to "loud" volume. does anyone else have this problem, and if so know how to fix it?

No phone should ever set the ringer by itself to loud. If that is the way all V710's behave, than the V710 is a worthless piece of junk.
