Features crippled by Verizon

Please clarify, what CAN I do with a TransFlash card in a v710 now that it too has been crippled in the latest firmware?

It's seems pointless to read the manual from Motorola without a comprehensive list of features and functions removed or crippled by Verizon. So far, it's my understanding that:

Bluetooth - Limited profiles
TransFlash - No more moving pictures/audio to/from
POP/SMTP Email Client - Removed

Please help me complete the list.

Thanks...Scott

You may want to consider another phone. The 8000 is simply great......

The new flash removes POP e mail client? That one I hadn't heard. Can you use POP or other e mail with the phone? If so, how?

I wish I knew. I just read it in the forum. They appear to be forcing you to use a GIN app like soda pop.

Verizon is not the only carrier doing the crippling of the V710. It makes me wonder why the Class Action is all about Verizon.

Because their motto is "your problem doesn't become our problem the first time you call and we won't work to resolve it ever" 😁

probably because there's no case to be had.it was just a bunch of hotheads trying to show off there legal stuff.nothing will ever happen with that case. 😁

It's scheduled for arbitration right now. My question is why is the Class only against Verizon when Alltel and US Cellular did the same thing.

I was lucky and got my BMW working with the Texas BETA OR version. Others were not so lucky.

Now I am just following the story, watching the debate, and seeing if Verizon will be successful in holding back technology as it has never been done before.
