What is the new software version?
What is the the updated software version? I took my phone in awhile ago to have the flash done and I forgot to write down the software version that was in it. The version that is on it now is 8700_01.30.8f. I was doing a some checking and it looks like .40 is the updated one. I think my Verizon store just said they did it but it didn't take or they just plain didn't do it.

if this is true how do you make the v710 send the phone book to the Hands free system when its sitting there saying please send phone book

So with this software update, you can't use the Transflash Card to move ring tones or pictures to and from your PC? 🙄

can't format my TF card in the new replacment phone with 1.40...uhg..any ideas ?

If OBEX has not been modified, does that mean that the phone is still not compatible with Macs? I know they can't sync via bluetooth and iSync, only with the cable. Also, has US Cellular updated as well? I have their 710 and am about to turn it back in because it's crippled. The next phone they're getting is the Nokia 6255, does anyone know if that will be crippled as well?
