Malfunctioning charging ports etc.

I've been thinking of purchasing a V710, but have been warned that either the charging port or the charging unit inserted into the port are likely to break and need repair, even without abuse. What has been your experience in this regard? Are they likely to break? If so, how expensive is the repair?

I've owned 3 motos in the past 4 years and all of their charging ports suck. I've never had one "break" per se but they've needed a bit of a finagle to work quite often.

Basically, you'll go to charge your phone and it will keep saying "Unable To Charge", but you can barely touch it and then it will Charge. Over time you learn "the touch". It's annoying and I'm not sure why they won't change that.

Thanks. Other than that, do you like the phone? Have you had any other problems with it?

I simply love this phone. The screen is amazing. The RF is as strong as could be. The volume is great. After a couple months of reading and learning all the ins and outs of this phone and toying with all the hacks, this phone simple rules. People I hang out with and work with are always talking about all the neat things it can do that their phone cannot. And with the price of this phone right now, it's the best deal on the market. I wouldn't wait.
