Motorola V710

Please Help!!

OK i just got my V710 in the mail today!! i really want to record my own ringtones and use them!! but i heard that u cant because verizon disabled the thing for it!! i am totally confused!! ppl r sayin u need to do the seem edit i have no idea wut that is or if its even for what im tryin to do and sumthin about a transflash card!! do i need to buy sumthin to do the ringtones or is there sumthin i can do for free!! omg please help 😲
