Before/After Software Update
Can anyone please look at my list below and tell me if the software update will change any of the items I've listed?
Features I don't want to lose:
1) Bluetooth Dial-up networking with my laptop
2) USB Cable-sync with my iSync Macintosh
3) Picture and ringtone transfer with transflash
Features I hope to gain:
1) Bluetooth address book sync with iSync
2) Speakerphone use while flip is closed
3) Bluetooth phonebook transfer with my Prius
4) A working ringer while my phone is paired with Prius

you loose the ringtone transfer but thats it... but with a simple seem edit you'll get that back.. there really is no disadvantage to getting the update.. the camera is even better.. as for your Prius there will be no such luck unless you live near me ;-).... my company (wireless zone franchise in DE) has decided to purchase a V600 outright and are using that phone to transfer phone books from V710 and other bluetooth enabled phones to car manufactors that support OBEX instead of the OPP profile and if you don't live near me just go buy a used bluetooth phone with OBEX its doesn't need to be activated... but use that to transfer your phone book

Where can I get this seem edit/how do I do it? I have noticed an increase in camera quality and the loss of mp3 transfer. Any help would be appreciated.

I have the V710 from US Cellular. I use iSync and a USB cable to transfer Entourage data from my Mac to the phone. The phone and the computer see each other in Bluetooth, but I can't transfer any data, it is the same crippled software that the Vzn model has. Is there any way I can apple the VZN update to my US Cell phone? I am waiting for them to get the Nokia 6255i and wonder whether it will be more able to communicate with my Mac????

i'm perfectly capable of syncing both contacts and calendars via isync. you have to edit one of the resource files and change a hex code to do it, but it works none the less. granted, you have to be on Tiger for it to work (and god do i hate tiger....)
