Motorola V710
speakerphone echoes
Just got my 710 and so far I like it,but I get people telling me they hear themselves(like an echoe) sometimes when I'm on speakerphone.My end sounds loud and clear-it's only on the other end this happens. It seems to happen at random.I changed the volume up and down and it does it at all,but more on higher settings. I have the 1 40 OR version. Anyone have any answers. could find much on a search. Thanx

Since the mic is so close to the speaker, you get leakage back into the phone if the volume of the speaker is set high. I don't think you can do anything about it except try varying the speaker level.

I had the same problem and I returned my V710 5 times to Verizon in 2 weeks i owned it. The problem I had was them transering the phone book over. Phone worked fine the first day, after that it always echoed on speaker. I then bought Phone tools and downloaded the numbers myself onto my computer. Went back for the 5th phone and told them not to move numbers over. Worked fine ever since and then i tried reloading the numbers off my pc and still worked fine...
