v710 for Toyota Landcruiser

I have just purchased a 2005 Toyota Landcruiser that has bluetooth capability. Now I need to buy a compatible phone. Has anyone used the Motorola v710 in this car?

I currently have AllTel as the carrier and have been quoted $249 for the phone with a 2 year contract and $386 without a contract. I'm assuming there are much better deals around, but I need to stick with AllTel for coverage issues.

Silly me. When I saw the subject of this thread, I got excited thinking it was about someone wanting to trade their Land Cruiser for a V710. When I saw no replies yet I thought I had the trade in the bag!

Drats!

Sorry...can't answer your question.

The Verizon V710 won't work well with the Landcruiser as it doesn't work well in my Lexus. You could ask the Alltel boys if their version supports Obex. Toyota/Lexus has been very slow to certify compatible phones and the only brands that make any fully compatible phones are Sony and Nokia

I have the Acura TL. We stopped using it with the v710. It works very poorly. Selling my v710, had it with Verizon. Great phone, bad provider.
