Go to Goldwave.com to download their free music editor. They also have a free mp3 converter that you might need. I have done this and have radiohead songs as ringers and homer simpson takes as text/pix alert 😁

I just have the free demo. I'm not sure how long it is good for but I have edited over 50 clips on it without being asked to buy it. My computer geek friend says that there is a way to clear something out when the demo version is over so you can redownload it for free again.

After you edit it just remember to save file selection as 22050 mono

then rename the file as something.mid

e-mail it to [email protected] with something in the subject and message

then enjoy Homer Simpson saying "Mmmm " every time you get a text message 😁

No seem edit needed. I have a couple of friends who have just gotten this phone as of a week ago and their phones receive the pix/ringtone, they save the sound, then set it as a ringer or alert or alarm or whatever. 😎

You can use Itunes from Apple. Works really great. Just into Itunes rigth click on the song that you want to convert to 30 seg. mp3, select Get info, and after select options. you will see and option to set up start and end time for song. So then you back to list and click rigth again, just this time select Convert Selection to Mp3.
