Recently i just received 128mb transflash card for my motorola v710 but i am unaware as to what the capabilities of this device are and how to use it on my phone. If someone could explain the basic principles of this device and what other things i need with it and how to use it on my phone i would really appreciate it. Thank You!

It's like a flash storage device for files. Holds about 1 or 2 hours of movies and more than that for sound.

You wrote: am i reading that i cannot use the transflash card anymore to store music & transfer to phone-It depends on your software version, but there are work arounds.

Your HP printer will work fine if you have an SD card slot.

I have a 256mb transflash card and its not as easy to use as i thought its very confusing and there hasnt been a lot of help on here and they dont come with instructions or anything i am thinking they are becoming more of a pain than anything. The transflash cards are picky with MP3's and everything. There is just so much to learn about them it can be quite complicated.

I have a 256mb Transflash card.
and a SanDisk Mobilemate usb card reader that I can plug the tflash card directly into.
(the reader looks like a usb memory stick)
I read about it alot on these forums before buying it, and knew the caveats before buying.
There a few, but once known, this can be a fun experience.

I copied my mp3's into the folder
motorola\shared\audio
I copied my star wars 3g2 format videos into
motorola\shared\video

now when I tell the phone to use the card as its storage device, it sees all the files I put there on the card.

Check out some of these sites to read up on it more yourself.

Thanks Guys! Think I will place an order with Amazon for the tflash card, card reader & usb cable, they seem to have the lowest prices. I will be back with more questions once I receive the merchandise!!!! I will need all the help I can get. Be looking for my questions late next week. Bye now!

Circuit City is your best bet for buying the Transflash card price wise and if you ever need to return it its not a long drawn out process. Some transflash cards are defective.
