Will Verizon continue to sell the V710?
I haven't been able to find the V710 lately at any Verizon store. Some Verizon sales people tell me that they expect to get more later this month and others tell me that Verizon is in the process of replacing the V710 with the E815 and that no more V710s will be coming in. Does anyone know which is the truth? Does anyone know where a new V710 can still be purchased?

I was told that the V710 will continue to be sold but since the E815 is now out they will be raising the price of the V710 back up.

the moto 710 will o longer be available, is a close out phn, therefore you will ot find more replacements thru insurance nor frus, the phn will still be sold until inventory is out, get the e815 or 8100.

Yea i heard something about that. When i went into the Circuit City store to pick up my E815 i didn't see the V710 on display i kind of knew that was coming. I was also told by Verizon they were going to raise the price of the V710. I think they are just trying to get rid of analog phones and go all digital.

but if that was the case y did verizon release the lg 3300 that is analog.

Qualcomm does not make an EV-DO chipset that includes analog. This is the only reason. Several years from now, analog will not be as important as it is today.
I highly doubt Verizon is trying to get rid of analog phones.

Verizon still has Analog phones just no higher end quality phones they have the Motorola V265 a Keyocera SoHo, A LG and maybe 1 more. I don't believe they sell the V710 anymore at this point its not even on their website.

I spoke to a VZW tech at a corp store and he said that he thought the V710 is not in stock because of MP3 features (ringtones/playback) , he also said vzw is getting rid of ALL MP3 phone features, on a LG VX-8100 has MP3 playback enabled from the factory but before VZW would not allow the phones in their stores until LG disabled the MP3 features. I see the same for all MP3 VZW phones.
