What I have read, though, is that there are two seem edits that are good.

a. The seem edit that allows DUN (Dial Up Networking) On the V710 you could get a 14.4 kbs connection over BT and that still exists today on the V710, but not the E815.

b. There are other things, like changing the outside banners, and allowing ringtone transfers. They don't really interest me, but Jamie at:

Yeah, technically it does void the warranty. But, unless you change the banners and stuff, the techies are clueless about seem edits. They won't check your software for every bit and byte if your phone gets hosed.

Verizon is pretty good about replacements.

yeah i know i figured out a way to freeze up the 6100 on command every time just like they want you to then talked them into the giving me the 710 yes!!
