Powerbook G4
Does anyone know if this phone will work with a Powerbook G4 from Apple which comes with bluetooth built in, In order to dail up and get online?
Also what speed do you think the connection would be, compared to, say dailup at 56k.

I have the same problem. Going on vacation next week with my V710 & G4 17" Powerbook and can't get online or iSync features! Very disappointing. Please keep in touch and I will also. Let me know what you plan to do or if you find out drivers are available.

Here are some instructions on how to connect to the internet using the v710 as a bluetooth modem. Its not compatible with iSync at this time, although there are rumors going around on some Mac boards that Apple is getting ready to release iSync 1.5 which is supposed to support some Motorola phones. I would assume that would include the v710.
Setting I am using:
(from another thread, but worth repeating)
In Network System Preference:
TCP/IP Tab - Make sure using PPP.
PPP Tab -
Telephone Number: #777
Account Name: [yournumber]@vzw3g.com
Password: vzw
Proxies Tab - Leave Alone.
Bluetooth Modem Tab -
Modem: 3Com Impact Analog 14.4
Uncheck Wait for Dial Tone
Go back to the PPP Tab and click Dial Now....

Much thanks! I tried all weekend to get the v710 to act as bluetooth modem with my mac G4 powerbook (even had my mac bigshots try!) and no luck.
Read your e-mail at 4:00 AM in the moring and it works just fine! We're on vacation next week and I would have been in big trouble if this did not work. I want to thank you again for your help and timely reply. If only iSync would work with this phone it would be complete. Do you know of any other way to sync Mac address book with phone? Do you have to wait for iSync 1.5? When is it coming out and how will we know? Again, my thanks!

I just got my v710 today,
Those bluetooth settings for conecting to the Powerbook G4 work great, I am posting this using the v710.
2 questions
1. How do I send out email using entourage. Normaly my Sending mail SMTP server is set to [mail.earthlink.net]
but when I try to send email it gives me an error saying:
EarthLink does not recognize your computer (166.180.90.22) as connecting from an Earthlink connection.
however I can receive the mail
2. if I dail up in the evenings (free time) will I be billed anything from verizon?
the phone says:
Verizon wireless
