Sweeeeeet! I'm gonna go check it out. I assume the $200 price is with a 2-yr agreement? That would be the first "real" price I have heard yet.

If you check the end of the book where they list the advertisers.. they list Motorola V710 and mention a release date of August 31 2004. Which kinda sucks to hear. At least its the first real release date we've seen also.

The Kyocera SE 47 was shown in FHM 2 months before it actually came out for Verizon. Magazines can post cell phones months in advance of the phone actually coming out for a specific provider.

The phone that had come out is only sold at Nieman Marcus, in the magazine they compare it to that phone im not sure what its called but it runs for a price around $3000 actually, yet they still are favoring the v710

It'll probably beam you to the person your talking to, upgrade itself every year with newer functions, and maybe even do your taxes...

The phone mentioned in Mens Health is made by the company Vertu at the below website. The phone has concierge service 24 hours a day and many other services that famous and rich people need to survive. Check out the website to learn why these phones are so expensive.

Vertu are high-end Nokia phones for people with a lot more money than brains. The cheapest one is the stainless steel model (the $3k one), and the go up to $30k for the platinum one. They aren't very small, using gold and platinum means they aren't very light, and they won't have color screens until this summer (but they will upgrade previous buyers for free) No camera, no bluetooth, just a jewellers quality case with Nokia innards.

But I guess if you are willing to pay $5000 for a Birkin bag, you'll spend $30k on a phone just to say to people "I have a lot more money than you. Please mug me."

Hmm...?

I wonder what network they operate on. I bet it is a GSM phone. Or do you actually get something worthwhile like a CDMA/AMPS/GSM phone.

Who's network do they piggyback off of?
