Last Wednesday I went to my local Verizon store and asked about the release of the v710. The salesperson, who seemed to be clueless, stated that he didnt know when the phone would be released. He did state that it should be released before July 1, because Verizon is expected to release a number of new phones before that date.
Like I said, the salesperson seemed clueless, but I hope it comes out soon. My Audiovox CDM-9500 is falling apart.

Today, I spoke with a local Verizon store manager. Over the past couple years I've been quite favorably impressed with his professionalism. Here's what he knows about the v710 release date -- NOTHING!
Why bother telling you this? Perhaps to quell any of the many rumors I've read on this forum. But there's more...
He also told me that around two weeks before a phone becomes available in their stores, he receives the relevant pre-release paperwork (that's right, so far he has received no paperwork for the v710) and this is usually his first indication that a new phone is becoming available. On very rare occasions, his hardware people will get an early model for testing.

Thanks for the info, and I have no problem with you changing the reply to my post. I just REALLy need a new phone and I dont know how long I can hold out. If it werent for the Bluetooth technology I would purchase another phone. Anyway, hopefully they will be released soon.

I think we're on the same page, JLM... the biggest draw for me is also Bluetooth capability; specifically being able to use a Bluetooth headset. I've been wanting a Bluetooth phone/headset combo badly, for an entire year now. It's been a loooooong wait, but given that all indications point to sometime this month (or the very beginning of July) for the v710's availability, I guess I can wait a little longer. All we need is enough patience to last another month. 🙄
BTW, I've been using the Samsung 530a for the past year and have been generally pleased with it. At first, I was a little put off by its small size, but now I've come to really like its compactness. In fact, if Samsung had come out with a duplicate phone, with the only di...
