What all you guys aren't taking into consideration is this phone is still a motorola...what do i mean by that you ask? glad you asked. this phone will be great as long as you don't mind the charging port problems that are a problem with every motorola phone, poor battery life, (ala the T-720/730), and software issues like every other motorola model...i'll go without the bluetooth until lg or audiovox (Toshiba) makes one!!!

If you don't head my warning....i'll see you in the line for the technician in the VZW store suckaz!!!

That's funny... I have never had any problems with any of my Motorola phones (V60 TDMA, T720 & T721 GSM and my current T&30 CDMA). Never any issues with the charger (wall or desk unit) PhoneSync Mobile Tools works as advertised. Battery life? No problem here and my cell is my only phone so I burn a LOT of air time. Li On battery, no memory so short cycle no problems. I have a full installed kit, works like a charm. So since you like other brands, stay off the Motorola boards and go sing your praise on your own brand boards. Personally I would rather buy American (OK I know some of the parts are made overseas) but the chips are made here in the USA and I would rather keep USA semiconductor workers working than some offshore plant workers... b...

The problems I've seen with Motorolas come from what appears to be poor testing (lack of rigorous testing). My 270C works pretty well in the standard config, but as you start messing with it - adding entries, changing menu option order, bonding BT devices, etc. the phone becomes much less reliable. A master reset every once in awhile appeared to solve the majority of issues for awhile. This is all just qualitative, of course...just my observation. I like the radio quality - great sound and reception, what Motorola is known for. Software and implementation is weak. On most of the 270c firmwares, keylock would either spontaneously unlock at times, or the ringer would stop if you had the phone locked and you received a text message, or after yo...

your right crsone10.

anybody who says they have never had a problem with any of the newer motorolas is in denial cause they own moto stock or something!(if a phone is made properly you shouldn't have to take off the little rubber thing to get it to connect better, but thats even what the employees there will tell you to do, how sad!)

having worked for vzw i exchanged more motos via express exchange then all other handsets combined!!!

now don't get me wrong, i was suckered into buying a t720 the first day it came out only to find out that same day it was a piece of crap and exchanged it as soon as the 9500 came out!sure they sent out software updates(about 6 while i was there) which never worked to fix all the issues.

i'm hoping t...

thats a tough one. i never had any problems at all with the toshiba built audiovoxes(9100,9155,9500 other than short battery life which is easily fixed with an ext batt) and the 9900 is another one bulit by toshiba so i am looking forward to it.

i also have had my share of lgs(510,vx1,vx10,4400,6000,4500) and have been very pleased with them but have had minor problems with them. user interface is very easy to use, as are the toshibas!

if the 7000 has voice commands (which are very cool by the way)like the 4500 i would probably choice it but i haven't read anything on the voice commands so my choice will be the 9900. plus the 9900 has 6.5mb memory don't know about the 7000.

i'll probably end up trying both though. remember vzw worr...

baker-
editor here... wuz up? Do you know of an alternate to Motorola's V710 that Verizon will offer with bluetooth? I want something that'll work flawlessly with my Acura TL. Right now, I have a T608 Sony-Erik that's been cracked to work on VZW. Even the service techs who have seen it work for the first time are amazed. Most of them including the service manager are totally amazed.
The T608 is flawed with poor screen readability, poor navigation, but it gets a call through. My T730 the worst phone in areas w...

i know you didn't ask me ed, but there aren't any other vzw in the works that will work with your tl. i have vzw and t-mobile so i can use a bluetooth phone(nokia 6600)in my tl. i just forward calls from my vzw to it. t-mobile works well in most metro areas but i will never let go of vzw, coverage is too good.

any way, the only other cdma bluetooth phone would be the nokia 6255i thats in the works. kinda plain looking but has full bluetooth capabilities not like the 710 which will be restricted. and who knows if vzw will pick it up. nokias don't normally do well with vzw, but neither do motos so who knows.

sorry to answer a question that was not asked of me.
peace.

oh, i love my tl. 6 speed, anthracite!!! 😈

Well all I CAN say is that I have not had ANY issued with my Mot phones... Period. I do know that denial is NOT a river in Egypt and I do not lie... but that is why there are Fords & Chevy's. Having worked for AT&T Customer Care I can remember the crappy Ericsson's, & Nokia's in fact we caught Nokia NOT refurbishing phones and just sending them back for us to re-issue with the same problems. ALL of the manf have issues. I have yet to see the "perfect phone". I have seen cheap phones out perform expensive and vice versa. So until the holy grail of the perfect phone comes along, I will stick with what works for me. After all just who did invent the cell phone? Motorola.
