Size does matter!

There was some discussion before about how big this phone is, and of course (as earlier stated), the most accurate way to ascertain this would be with a ruler, referencing the published specs, etc. However, I do believe that if you set your screen resolution (not that you'd normally want to) to 800x600, the following picture will appear pretty darn close to scale:

the phone is a bit longer than the V600 but thinner than the V400. the big space on the top of the V400 for the earpiece has been made smaller in the V710 to make the screen larger, but the phone is only a little bit bigger than those two models. it will be small enough to sit comfortably in your pants pocket.

The better photo for size reference is this one:

...and for additional size reference vs. the V600:

Using that last one with the first one, you can get an idea for how much smaller the V810 is.

Technically, that was the A840 in the top shot, but it's the same exact size as the V710. They're basically the same phone except for the obvious styling and feature differences.

Anyway, it is a big phone. It will definitely be an issue for some people.

Let's see... phones get smaller and SUV's get bigger. I can see it now, Ford's new Grand excursion includes the latest cell phone that is the size of a grain of rice. Customers are cautioned against driving and talking due to vast amounts of phones that have been lost in the ear canal! 😳 😛

Oh hmm...where have i heard that one before?
Perhaps in a Dave Barry column? Come up with your own GD jokes, or at least give the man credit.
