Spoke To Verizon Today
As usual, more conflicting information from Verizon:
1. I spoke with a customer service representative on the telephone today about an unrelated issue and I also inquired about handset release dates. She told me they are normally informed about the new phones about a month prior to release. She asked me what phone I was waiting for and I mentioned the 9900 and the 710. She pulled out her "list" and looked through it while I waited on the phone. She stated that there were no Audiovox or Motorola handsets on her sheet.
2. I called my local Verizon Corporate store a few minutes ago and asked about handset releases. She said they have been told to expect a Motorola with video messaging capability sometime this month or next month. She did...

Don't believe anything a customer care rep tells you about release dates. I was an AT&T Care Rep and most of the time we new a phone was out AFTER it was in the retail stores (99.99% of the time). As some one mentioned earlier, "they" do not want care reps to set customer expectations and have them pissed off.
