Hey clue, thanks for the info. I believe the july time frame as i have heard that from my manager buddy a while back. He did not know a specific date, just that "he was getting a motorola phone in july". Thanks again for sharing the information, its really hard to tell what's legit and what's not. This message board had gotten so convaluted (sp?) with crap i had just about given up on it. Its nice to see it coming back into what it was meant for... a place for information on the 710.
Here's my question(s): will the external display say "verizon wireless" the way the audiovox 8900 does or will it be the clock? does the external display stay on or does it have to be turned on like the LG 6k? And finally, are you able to store vid...

They let others try out new technologies and then act after they see what has staying power. A good plan, from a certain point of view.
Being a gadgety person myself, that is FRUSTRATING as is waiting this long for Bluetooth.

The problem is, it's not *just* about more towers.
The big thing to understand is that there are only 2 sections of the 900 MHz band -- A and B. The 1900 MHz band (PCS) has more sections available, but it doesn't go through walls and trees as well. In most markets, Verizon has one of them.
Now, the thing is, ATTWS/Cingular do have a lot of the other 900 MHz band, but generally the 900 MHz band is tied up in a TDMA network, not GSM. They are beginning the long-term process of moving *all* of their TDMA customers over to GSM and all of their GSM customers who have older GSM phon...
