You seem to be the only one knowledgable in VZW marketing stragety. So I ask you, what are they gaining by not having a centralized information release center. For instance, they can have a little section on their website, where they have a list of upcoming phones and possibly even their progress through their various stages of the testing process. This does not seem like divulging out company secrets. Even if so, what type of company secrets are their left to divulge if we all know they are waiting to release this phone, and make the largest buck possible.
I understand in all fairness that they dont want to look like they wet their pants again, following the T720 fiasco, but excessive testing, being shrouded in secrecy kind of makes you mo...

Well I'm no Verizon Rep but I think I can tell you why they don't release information regarding upcoming products. Because Verizon is sopposedly dedicated to serving its customers, they want to give them truthful information. Therefore, if Verizon were to give a date regarding a phone and that date was not met, then some people would complain saying that Verizon was not meeting their standards. Again I'm not a Verizon employee or anything but I think its common sense...

I's pretty sure though that the majority of us would appreciate a date whether it's met or not as apposed to vague crap that nobody understands and never is true... ☹️

I do agree that if they showed a progress report on the phone it would ease some of the tensions.

Have to agree with VZWSales. Verizon DOES NOT want to appear to be a 'phone manufacturer', which they are NOT anyway. They want to be the service provider- just as Comcast doesn't want to be in the TV business.
I know this wait is painful- the lesson I learned is I'll NEVER talk about a release date with customers AGAIN! We had a bunch of customers waiting for this phone about the same time as number portability here. I saw and played with the phone back in March- and was told to expect about an end of March release date- well!!!
This is the Motorola will sink or swim with- both Verizon and Motorola want to swim!!

You guys are all missing my point. I am not asking for a definitive date, just a an update from a reliable centralized source which updates the process through the testinf procedure. This is in now way would give us a exact date, but at least give us an somewhat reliable idea as to how the phone is doing.
By not doing this, and rather hyping up the phone which is obviously acting as a fluke, this is what will truly set up Verizon for failure.
