The Big Question

MarthaStewart

Hi,

For months I've been reading every post on this forum. However, lately I became sick of this phone. Yes, I still plan on buying it, but it no longer has the spark it once had. Now there are over five unread pages in this forum, and no offense to any of you, but my guess is that they're filled with junk. So, I am going to be like what so many annoying people have done here, and I'm going to be just as annoying by asking "Is there any new info about the phone and / or the release date?" Yes, I know I could spend three hours reading the unread pages, but there would probably only one or two useful posts. Thank you.

Martha Stewart!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm a Verizon Wireless employee in the customer service dept. and I just saw the director of of customer service (Marquett Smith) walk past my cubicle and guess what he had on his hip? the V710. You should of seen me, my eyes stopped blinking the entire time it was in my hands. I just had to ask him for it and also asked him for a quick demo. MAAAAAAAAAAAN this phone is unique and I'm in love with it. He showed me a short video of his daughter dancing away ;-) and it was extremely clear, not like the other phones that support video recording. In addition, Mr. Smith showed me how the zoom x4 works and man was it magnifying ;-) At the end of the short demo he provided me with, I asked him for the release date. ...

Thanks for the info SPY! Well, it's nice to have an actual release date. Hey, I know I could just look online, but the prices on VZW's website are all with 2 year contracts and minus a rebate. You anyone who knows VZW's current phone lineup please tell me what the cheapest phone I could buy right now is w/ no contact, and before rebates (or with no rebate)? I'm in desperate need of a replacement phone, and have been going three weeks with some phone from god knows when and it turns off after three minutes of having it on. My T720 broke and was hoping this piece of junk would have lasted me. With the V710 still a while off, I need a phone. One that can work preferrably.

MarthaStuart,

That really feel for you because of your situation. Fortunately, you can buy a phone through vzw with no contract, but unfortunately, the price will be pretty high.

Full retail phones are not eligible for any type of rebate with vzw. It sucks but those are he rules. The least expensive out of our full retial phones are as follows: Motorola C343=139.99, Lg 3200=189.99 Nokia 3489i=199.99. The other option is to go on Ebay and browse around for a cheaper phone ;-)

Hope this helps ;-)

Hey Martha, send me an email if you are interested. I have a T720 that I no longer use that I would be willing to let go cheap.

My one and only time to play with it was back in March! I was told then the release date would be the end of May- well!!! Yes, it really is a neat phone and the video (and the sound) is really cool. Maybe it's better for them to release it late IF they get it right, unlike the 720! Motorola was pushed by Verizon on that one.
