How are these people planning on pulling this off? Even though they claim in the auction that they ill ship upon release, I thought if you went to a Verizon store and bought a phone at full retail - you still had to have a number established for the phone at the time of sale??????

You buy it, setup your phone number on it, go home, call verizon, cancel it, flash s/w on it. Then you're done.
