Motorola V710
Received My v710 TODAY!!
I received my v710 today and the phone is absolutely gorgeous. Bluetooth works excellently and even pairs to the headset automatically, Motorola HS810 duh! Digit dial, Name dial, camera, video capture, WAP 2.0 it all works excellently. Hit me up later guys if you want me to post some pix of the phone. I'm going to go out to the 4 Verizon stores I know of and show off, I also need to get a Motorola data cable so I can let you guys know about ringtones. I'm also going to get the bluetooth to PC Motorola kit and let you know if we can use BT to access National Access. I love it and as for the people who say the v710 is a mammoth, I think the a530 and a670 have spoiled us all because if you can deal with the vx6000 then the v710 is cake. It isn'...

look man, i'm in college, i'm on break, I don't have **** else to do but make VZW jealous. Anyway I walked in there and saw my favorite rep and started showing it off with the BT headset and all of them were just like this is the phone they've been waiting for.

1. I got it for $550 total, I know a guy here, I also can get a vx7000 for anyone who wants it and a v810. Anyway if the price is going to retail for $499 like expected after the GA sales tax of 7% I only spent about $20 more.

I could see for you but I know he has a vx7000 and v810. He's a very nice person to deal with and he keeps his word. In matter of fact he shipped me the phone overnight without me even paying for it yet but I plan on paying him as soon as he responds to my last email.

Well, it could depend on what the guy does for a living if he already has one. I'm with you though. We'll got some pics alright, but not from the v710. I'm with you on the "distinction" of his photos will the few that have been posted all over the internet, which most of us have seen. I'll guarantee we won't see a pic of him holding a "real" one.

I'm sorry about the quality, I was rushing and wanted to post something before everyone jumped all on me for being a liar and pulling chains. I can't tell you exactly where I got it from but I only paid $550 for it about $20 more than I would've paid if I would've waited until July 6th. No biggie really, i'm simply working on getting it connected to the computer so I can tell ya'll the real good stuff like mp3 ringtones and such so i'll keep everyone posted. If anyone has any questions don't hesitate to ask and i'll try to answer them as best as I can.

lol, VZW doesn't have standardized firmware, it is different for every single phone model. Pt if you mean is it preset with all the Verizon logos, Get It Now, VZW Wap, Online Album and etc. then yes it does have all that.

Each phone, regardless of the manufacturer, will include the same interface and software based upon Verizon's specifications. This is something that is rumored to be happening soon, but believe it or not I have heard very little about it.

Its true....We just had training on it (06/17) and with the introduction of the lg7000 on the 25th. This is the 1st phone that will have it, and according to the higher-ups every phone launched after the lg7000 will have it too.

I'm a little upset but I suppose it is also smart but I can't send a video message anywhere. If I try to send it to myself it will fail and when i try tos end it to a email address when it goes through Verizon's MMS filtering it will drop the .mp4 attachment. this is because the feature hasn't been launched yet and they don't want us to see the outcome yet. Well they really would since the video messages are going to pool with the pix messages so they could just simply bill it as a pix message and it'll mean the same thing. Not to mention the next bill doesn't come out until after the 25th. VZW did all that damn video messaging talk just to come to the conclusion to have pix messages and flix messages count as the same thing. At least there will be a promotion on them up until September.

I'd prefer to stay anonymous in this forum. All this info that were passing around so freely is looked at by the VZW security dept. 2 people at my center have been let go for typing in forums the proprietary information about VZW.

If you want call the Lenox Square Verizon Wireless and ask if a young African American came into their store today and had a v710 with the Motorola HS810 BT headset and they'll respond with a yes.
