ecko04 I hate you right now 😛 , sitting there playing with a phone most of us have been lusting after for months now...DOH!, anyways, congrats on your purchase..have a question that I have been trying to put to rest that was mentioned on HOFO (no one answered) I know the mp3s can play through the speakerphone and they will play in mono (obiouvsly) but when connected to headset is it stereo? I would think it would be..kinda foolish for motorola to make a phone capable of playing mp3 music but limit the playback to mono, (also miss out on a chance to make some cash on accesories like a stereo headset that can answer the phone..or even better a bluetooth stereo headset....ahhh! 😁 )

thanks for your time answering all our dorky questions!

You're going to hate my answer and I believe the problem lies with my BT headset so you may want to ask someone else with the phone and a BT headset other than the HS810. When the phone rings and I have my BT headset connected I hear beeps instead of the actual tone playing through. I think the problem lies with my old beat up HS810 and i'm thinking of getting a HS820 and trying it out as well. So my tones don't play through the BT headset at all even when i'm just browsing through them on my phone, I would ahve to turn off the BT headset and it'll play through the speaker just fine and might I add very damn loud. My BT headset has been through hell so I wouldn't doubt if that is where the problem lies but I had a guy at the verizon store tr...

np..thanks for the answer..but let me refrase my question..and I just realized you may not be able to awnswer right now because I dont think you have any of the transflash cards for that phone. What I was reffering to was the actuall STEREO playback for full mp3 music on the phone..not just a regular mono headset like the bluetooth headsets out now, someone did mention that the v710 has a standard headphone jack (?) I could be wrong (or they could be I should say), but again..at this time you may not have the bility since you may not have a memory card to transfer songs to. 😕

on a side note:
I have an I700 and it does play mp3 music through the speakerphone and I have a stereo headset that connects to it that also double as a hands f...

The 2 that i've heard, that were preloaded, they sounded like they're of stereo quality and they play very clearly and very loud through the speaker.

No the phone doesn't have a standard headphone jack. I don't believe you can transfer the mp3 ringtones to the phone without the use of the removable media.

I wanted to know how many mp3 songs can this phone hold. can you cut mp3 for ringers like on the lg6000 or do you just load a whole song and pick that as a ringer.

If I knew that then I wouldn't be here talking to you. I tried loading some mp3 ringtones on the phone last night cropped down to about 60kb but they weren't working so i'll use the preset ringtones for now, the selection isn't that bad and they're nice and loud.
