Does n e one know the price the v710 is gonna be? I know it has been posted but i'm sorta confused. I've heard anything from $199-$499? I know no one can be sure of anything cause it's up to Verizon, but why r people saying the 710's gonna be like $499? I get that it has so many features, but y would verizon charge so much, no one would be able to buy one except huge 710 fans or business people. I was planning to spend like $200 plus tax on one, but $299-$499 is just crazy. Any more info on the issue would be great. 🙂

The reason you heard $499 is because of FULL RETAIL MEANING THE PRICE YOU PAY IF YOU'RE NOT ELIGIBLE FOR AN UPGRADE. You definitely won't be spending $200+ ta...

$199 would be possible with people who have the New Every Two discount like me though. Since when I got my v60c, it was $249 for new customers on a 2 year contract but I did pay $149 after the $100 discount.

$199 is possible if you are holding on to your NE2 credit waiting for this phone to come out (like many of us are).

NE2 is New Every Two. If you sign a contract for 2 years... As early as 2 months before the full two years, you can get a new phone as long as you renew for another two years. What happens is any phone up to $100 is free or you get $100 off any phone $101 and higher. The price before the NE2 credit is the same as the new customer price.

Like few of you are, many more are holding out knowing they're going to have to pay the retail pricing. Others are thinking of schemes to get Verizon to extend their contract and buying the phone at the subsidized price. Alot of thoughts rush though one's mind when they see a $449 - $499 phone about to be released and they really want it.

Will the price be the same for a new customer to verizon as it would to a person renewing their contract? some replies said maybe $200 or so if u renew your contract, so if i'm a brand new customer and sign a 2-year contract with verizon, would they give me the $200 price? I hope so!!! I work at circuit city and i know that all of our new customer prices 4 phones are always cheaper than if u dont get a plan. (obviously verizons gets their money from the plans) i could definately pay the $200 or even a little higher if i could get rebates that would bring the price to somewhere in the $200's. N e ways just wondering if new customers get the same, better, or worse deals than if i were an existing customer upgrading?

No because for a existing Verizon customer who has been with Verizon for 2 years since their contract began, they have to extend their contract for another two years and what happens is they get any phone up to $100 for free or any phone over $101 with a $100 instant credit from the new customer 2 year price. New Every Two I think is only appliable if you have a plan of atleast $35/month. So a existing customer, those who are not in a 1 year but 2 year contract will get the phones at $100 cheaper than new customers would.

ok i get how the ne2 works now, but how much is it gonna cost me if i'm a new customer. I currently have the nokia 3650 through t-mobile, but my contract is up and i wanna know if i will have to pay the same, less, or more than and ne2 customer if i sign a brand new 2-year contract with verizon when getting the 710 whenever it comes out. I've had both verizon and t-mobile and i personally think verizons service puts t-mobile to shame! So i just basically wanted to know how much I'll have to pay when I sign a 2-year contract with verizon for the v710?

No idea but it'll be $100 more than someone with the NE2 credit.

you will have to pay what a 2 yr contract is for verizon.
example just making up prices here

v710

550=full retail
450= 1 yr contract
400= 2 yr contract (what you would pay)
300= what a new every 2 pays gets 2 yr contract with 100 off for new every 2

50= rebate anyone can take advantage of the rebate so you would pay when it all said and done 350 for the phone.
