Yes you can get a cable but the process to transfer and upload things is a difficult one. It isn't like most phones, a simple drag and drop process, this phone doesn't allow a simple drag, drop and reboot process. if all you plan on doing is extracting things then it'll work fine but don't count on uploading things to the phone working as you expect. Maybe the transflash card will be an option for you and many of us for that matter.

From the pics it looks like the same cable that will work on the early vxx (and the T720/30 phones). So the one for my V60c "should" work.

A Motorola Data cable is universal, you can use the same motorola cable for every motorola phone, that is true for most motorols accessories except for belt clips, faceplactes and things that are phone specific. You can buy one sas low as $10 I believe.

No you don't try that until someone has done so and verifies that it actually does work with a pc. No need spending that much money on a bt to pc piece and have it not work, you'd be better off with the cable for $10 and wait until somepne verifies that it works then get the BT to PC.

I'm set up for Bluetooth on all my computers (for my Bluetooth PDA) -- I *Plan* to get the v710 as soon as it's available... I'll let you know what works and doesn't work -- Setting up the BT relationship is one of the first things I plan to do.

Yes there is a cable available and it's already listed on Motorola's accessory page for the V710. Here's a link.

Just like with the T720/T730, I'm sure they won't allow to transfer files with the cable so that you can bypass "Get It Now" or picture/video messaging. By using the cable with Mobile Phone Tools 2.0, you can "Send and receive messages through Email or SMS (10) Look up information on the Internet when you need it the most Sync information between your PC and your mobile phone while on the go." With the GSM phones like the V600, you can do more with it. Here check out this page.
