I personaly think that the vx7000 sucks cause its not tri-mode, i have seen according to phone scoop that they will have the vx7000a that will be tri-mode that would be gret cause lg makes good phones i own a lg vx10 now and cant go with lg cause they dont have trimode, as with the v710 i dont trust motorola after i got stuck with one on the at&t network, any opinions?

I do agree that Tri-Mode is needed, but it all depends upon where you live, or where you are going to be. If you live in, or around the city, or some other largely developed area, you should be fine with all digital, but once you go 75 miles out, you definately need tri-mode. I go for the tri-mode phones first, but if I have to get all digital, I will. I live an hour out of NYC and the places I travel are Miami, LA, San Fran., and Tampa, so all digital can work for me. VZW will be putting out a VX7000a in a month or so, at least thats what I hear, and

i'm on national single rate, which pretty much requires you to have a trimode to take advantage of the plan features.
i've stuck with motorola products since i went on the plan with a startac several years ago. IMO, there aren't any trimodes for verizon out there with the features of motorolas. the audiovoxes seem okay, but personally, i don't like the ones available now (made by hundyai). the LG and samsung offerings have fewer features (no external display? come on!), and the nokia is big as hell.
unless samsung makes a trimode version of the i600 or LG makes the trimode version of the 7000, the 710 is a no brainer.

There will be the Tri-mode version of the VX7000 called teh VX7000a. It will just take longer to come out.

The price is $225 I beleive, use the Zipcode 99999 and find it out, and I have the audi8900, I like it, the speakerphone is useless, its a standard phone, with a minimal video camera. You should definately wait for the VX7000a.
