You should, I am not very familiar with the 5500 features, but it looks like you trade Speakerphone and PPT for a higher resolution camera, a VZW phone line (better service), tri-mode, and bluetooth. Another thing you give up is the battery life. To tell you the truth, I do not know if I would go with a Sanyo phone anyways. They have come a long way, but still not up to par, even not up to Motorolla which has been knocked down a couple of rungs due to the T720/T730 flop.
