Does anyone know the history of this supplier? I know they're in Europe, so few people in the US have ordered from them, but I wonder how accurate they are when they post "avaibale on" dates:

I posted on this about a week ago. The TransFlash cards will be avaliable in Europe on July 13th, however they will not be avaliable in the US till early August. The April 2004 date is only for manufacurers, not consumers. ( Basically, they have the technology it's just not released to the general public yet)

Hi, I work for a technology supplier here in the US and I contact Sandisk about their mini-sd cards (Transflash). The 128 MB ones have already shipped and appear to be available through my distributor. It looks like the cost is going to be around $45. The 256MB looks like it is going to be in the neighborhood of $60. It looks like they are also going to make 16MB, 32MB, and 64MB cards too.

Sorry, Thrash, but I'm going to be a REAL pain, and ask if you can make sure we are talking about the same thing.

The 128-Mb Transflash card that will work with the v710 is Sandisk Model #SDQCJP-128. Can you confirm from your distributor that that's what we are talking about?

Thanks!

Hey Npitior, you are correct. I thought that the mini-sd was the same as Transflash but if the model SDQCJP-128 is the Transflash then they are different. The manufacturer part for the mini-sd is: SDSDM-128-A10. My bad! Sorry!

One last thing, I just spoke to a Sandisk rep and these are slated to come out to retail "mid/late Q4." Hopefully the phone is out before then!

It says "Special Order" next to the item which means they don't have it in stock.
