Web Surfin' Question

Hi to all....especially to those that have (or have had) the v710 (and the vx7000).

I was wondering if anyone could provide a description of what it's like to surf the web on these phones. Of all the features, I would really like to access some websites without having to use the boring old WAP screens (all text); you know to have the ability to actually see some f'n html content....like going to my yahoo fantasy team and adjusting my lineup, for example.

I read that Openwave's latest browser can do some html rendering and would appreciate any input you all have on the matter.

Thank you,

John

tHATS ACTUALLY A GOOD QUESTION, John. I came into work this morning and read an e-mail that indicated that newer phones such as the 7000, 4500 and the a790 will will come out with WAP 2.0. Wap 2.0 will now allow you to have drop down tabs and also allow you to view pages that usually have graphics. This indeed will give a customer a better experience with Mobile web. WAP 2.0 will launched on 07/25/04.

· A richer customer experience through color applications, pull down menus, radio buttons and photo images.

Hey ecko or coverhawk,

What are your guys' interpretation of the browser? I would really like to know what browsing on the phone will be like.

It isn't the way you're browsing now. It works nicely and is definitely a step up from what we had. It isn't full HTML browsing but it works well. I would keep the WAP 2.0 as opposed to what we had in the past. Yet if you're not a WAP user then you really wouldn't give a f*ck neither way.
