I don't know why I even bother posting this here when I was criticized so intensely last time, but here's what I got yesterday. I was told that Friendly User Testing has been completed and that the phone has passed. VZW is now attempting to get everything together for a July 1 concurrent release with the VX-7000. However, the issue does not involve the phone at all, it is the advertising. It is unknown if they will be able to put all of the advertising together to make the July 1 date. If not it will be July 6. Have fun all.

Nice update VZWSales, do you have any info on the price yet with a two year agreement, I think I read someone wrote around $399 😳, does that sound right? If so, thats kind of expensive.

Also, have you noticed the tone on these forums in the last couple of days? It has gone from this a-hole posting that the phone will be out the 6th, and then everyone had that info, getting it from each and every source. Now I bust this guy out, and everyone is hearing from their sources that it has been postponed again.
I really don't think anyone has any information. I think people are ust making things up and going with the flow of the conversation. I like it better when people were posting emails from Moto and Verizon. That was more reliable information.

Okay, you guys wanted some proof that this VZWSales guy is full of it? Go to the Motorola website and check out the expiration date for the bluetooth headset offer. July 10 right? Oh, no. Wait a minute. It's been pushed back to August 1, 2004. But if the phone were coming out on July 1, or even July 6 (like that VZWSales jackass says), there should be plenty of time for 710 people to register before July 10. So no need to extend it.

I am so excited about this phone. I cannot wait for it to be released. I am quite simply a Motorola fan. I have owned a Profile 650, a Startac 3000 Analog, a Startac 7868, a T2260, a 270c Timeport (my favorite ever), a T720 and a T730. When the v710 comes out, I am willing to pay $400 for it. Don't misunderstand though... I expect this phone to be buggy. It wouldn't be a Motorola otherwise. So when I see someone chomping at the bit for this phone to be released, while I certainly share your enthusiasm, I imagine what I will be reading from you when Motorola starts with the software updates for the phone. Just be thankful that most VZW stores have a technician in store who can update the software on phones.

I believe every bit that the phone will be good, if there is a bug i'm not even goin to trip ova it espically wit the software upgrades available, but i mean its just annoying on the variuos release dates on this phone, we can't seem to go through 3 days without some new bad news about availability on this phone. I guess its only normal since it will probably be the first new line up of megapixel camera phones to be out, but it jus seems like verizon is to un organized to handle something like this, I could see Sprint havin this all said and done quicker then verizon, Don't get me wrong i'm not saying there service sucks, i'm jus sayin it seems that even the verizon store employee's are left in the loop at times, and what type of business ...
