What is the battery life on the V710? I know it is rated at like 180 mins. of talk and 6.3 days of standby. Are those close or not? Thank you .....

I cant answer your question about battery life for the v710...but I was curious on if anyone else feels like those 'battery time' usages (talk time and standby) are bullshit. my t720, even brand new, never lasted more than 2 days...

I charged it every night and always took care of it, now it barely gets me through the day. by the end of the night, its beeping low battery.

is this just the t720 battery or does everyones phone battery suck like this? anything I may be doing wrong? over charging it?

thanks

I have the extended battery for my t720 and if u disable the service light option, that alone won't consume the battery life. On average, I charge my battery every 2-3 da...

Actually turns out that most of the OEM Motorola batteries I've seen have horrible battery life in general. The 720 is one of the worst. I bought one and returned it immediately because it wouldn't last me through the day (and I have a 500 minute plan to give you an idea). My LG 6000 on the other hand will always get me through 2 days off the charger at 9am, so the issue is not with all batteries. One review of the V710 did state questionable life, too, and I really hope that is not the case.

Until fuel cell technology matures battery life will always be an issue, and users need to decide between battery life and functionality.

If your going to return a phone because it can't go 2 days without a charge why would you even bother looking at this phone?

Bluetooth, speaker phone, large 2.2" screen, two displays, speaker independant voice dialing: these are all batter killing capabilites.

Worrying about battery life on this sucker is a bit like saying you want an SUV that gets 100 miles to the gallon. It's not going to happen with current technology.

I'll be happy to just go 24 hours one 1 charge.

Yes, the estimated battery life is generally overstated and just an "estimate" at that.

As far as your T720 is concerned, the fact that you can barely get through the d...
