Wow, the tone has certainly changed in this forum. The phone is set to release on July 6, 2004. Attempts are being made to make this phone available earlier, perhaps July 2, but don't count on it, at least in all markets.
As for others who have posted release dates that are later, consider where these dates are coming from. Ecko, you have been an excellent source of information for those in this forum. However, in this case I find your approach unethical. There is certainly much more for you to gain by promoting a late release date. Since your auction is set to end after the phone is released there would be no demand for it on ebay. I don't know where you're getting your information from but you're definitely off on this one. I side with LieBuster when it comes to you. The phone isn't set to release on July 6th but I suppose we'll wait until July 6th and see what you say then.
If anyone thinks I care about Ray or his number then you're mistaken. Resulting to actions of a 12 year old is exactly what he did to me when I called in. One action doesn't deserve another but it's too late to take it back now and what's done is done.
I have nothing to gain at all, the phone isn't going to be released on July 6th but if everyone wants to believe VZWSales then that is your prerogative. Just think about what sense it's making though. The Motorola BT promo date got pushed back...

Thanks for the info VZW. I agree with you on your response to ecko04. He does have a lot to gain if the phone DOESNT come out this week. His anger-fueled post definatly make it seem more like personal gain than anything else. I still wouldn't be surprised if it came out tomorrow. I went to Verizon wireless yesterday and they didn't even know when the V7000 was going to be released. They showed me the phone and all and said they could probably sell me one, but they werent sure when the national roll-out of either it or video messaging was expected. an earlier post regarding the v710 WS Journal add on the HoFo...someone over there seems to have similar information about the release date. He said v710s are in UPS boxes being shipped all over as we speak...and it maybe out as soon as friday. check it out:
