Uninformed CS Reps?

This is my first post here. I've posted on HOFO a few times.

I'm curious as to why so many CS Reps at Verizon are uninformed or at least seem uninformed by what I've read in the posts here. About two months ago I popped into the local Verizon store here in Celveland (Independence location) to ask about the V710. The rep new what I was talking about as soon as I asked and he said that they weren't sure when it would be there but they were expecting it very soon. I usually go to lunch over there so I'd drop in every week to ask and no matter what Rep I talked to they knew exactly what phone I was talking about and had the same basic response. Now I know that expecting it soon is very vague but they all seemed to at least know about it....

The reason the reps @ a store or call center doesn't know is because vzw don't announce any updates of phone release to anybody till a week or less sometimes not even that because of the snafu with the ptt service and phone. Usually our tech support were given phones to test out, but since that snafu not even that. And to top it off. On training, we in FL, are told that if you get discovered leaking official info your butt is out the door. All the info release is from word to mouth from somebody that knows somebody that works @ vzw or Moto and he knows somebody etc.
