So.. It's July 1st..
I don't see a mass of posts that people have been able to buy the v710 at their local Verizon store..
One Lie Down..
Next to go..
July 6th release date.. Does not look very promising for those of you who still believe

I have had faith that the v710 will be released on the 6th for a long time. I don't know where July 1st came from. The dual-release crap sounded stupid and I think someone just pulled July 1st out of their ass for the fun of it. I'm gonna stick with July 6th because if you compile the evidence, it is most likely leading to that. The WSJ ad, the Rep's saying they're receiving new shipments, The change of the headset promotion date (at least we know it will be released before Aug 1st.) and The meta tag (which I hear has actually been up for about a week now). I think it is VERY close to release because those 1/4 page COLOR wall street journal ads run anywhere from $10,000 - $40,000 for ONE day. Motorola would NEVER invest that much money in so...

Just as many signs point to it not being released on July 6th as they do to it being released on July 6th. Motorola still says be the first to register to get your free BT headset or speaker but they push the date back to August 1st, that doesn't make any sense but ok. Still Motorola, not Verizon, puts the ad in WSJ which I think is a trick to boost stocks but still like he said $10 - $40K on an ad but hell Moto has money like that to throw around, after all they're Motorola. Nobody can say how much money Moto will invest in something, they can run front page ads in the WSJ everyday and it won't hurt them at all.
All sources don't point to the 6th but there are a few that do if you think they're credible then you go with the 6th if not then...

Pushing the promotion expiratoin date back from July 10th to August 1st and then Verizon releases the phone July 6th just doesn't make sense. I'm still thinking July 20th and 27th but I hope I'm wrong.

If I'm reading the promotion correctly, I think they would want the longest possible window for registration. Legally it says only the 'first' to purchase the phone and register will get the free BT accessory. They want everyone to try and get the free stuff, its a great way to amass a database of customer information that they can use as demographics or potentially for future advertisements & promotions. So they give away 710 BT accessories but gather thousands upon thousands of customer datasets. It just makes sense to let that run as long as possible.

I called Verizon yesterday and asked about the phone and was told it would be available today. I called back today and nobody knows anything about it or even a projected date.
