release date... possible bad news...
I was told by an assosciate of mine here @VZW who is testing the handset (which only has 15 second video, not 3 minute like the phone info on this website.. hopefully the "real" version will have the 3 minutes) and she is telling me that it probably will not roll until August. The phone is pretty sweet... but not sure if it is 1.2 megapix either... pictures do look great.

Just passing along some info. Again, this person works in tech support and has been testing the v710 for over a month. we also have the 810 in testing... I hope you're right, though. I have been waiting months for this phone.

Oh, you're right - I agree with you completely.
You're absolutely right because:
1. Motorola (a) would *never* change the expiration date of a promotion, and (b) would *never* insert legal language in the T's & C's of a promotion that would completely vitiate the expiration date regardless; and
2. Mass marketers *never* publicize things like movies, cars, music, etc. well in advance of their release date to build buzz for products.

I'm gonna have to call BS on this one. We've all known for weeks that the phone has 15 second video, not 3 min. I'm sure the phone is more than capable of capturing 3 minutes of video, but VZW limits it for Video Messaging purposes. And why would an official VZE tester not have the "real" version of a phone?
