Testing
There has been a great deal of speculation regarding testing of this phone, whether it is currently in testing or whether testing has been completed. Well, the answer is yes. It is currently in testing AND testing has been completed.
If you will recall, in an earlier post I had explained that new software has been distributed to VZW for the V710. Well, this is the latest (and final) round of testing for this phone. From what I hear, the older software from this phone was contributing to difficulties IN SOME MARKETS, including poor call quality and dropped calls. This did not occur everywhere, and that may explain why Ecko's phone had no problems with the current software.

Thanks VZWSales for that valuable info, I work for VZW too and I have seen the V710 in all the big shots hands in user testing. I was lucky enough that a gentleman let me hold the phone and it feels solid Moto put some effort on the construction, hopefully they put as much effort on the processor and like u said the software. We cant afford a loser with this one. I am sure this phone will live up to everyone expectations.
