People I would no listen to anyone on this forum
only person i would is Ecko but then again he bought his phone for like $500 and sold im sure more than $1000
I bet he liked the phone but he made money on it plus it had some bugs because it was a tester unit, plus this phone will be out in couple of weeks (not a test unit) so ecko will go ahead and get it for alot cheaper.
its called logical thinking.
well im out
and wait till V710 comes out compare yourselves...
peace

You are absolutely correct. The 7000 and the 710 do not really have comparable feature sets: Where is the SpeakerPhone? Where is Tri-Mode? Where is BlueTooth? If I take a pass on the 710 because it ends up having some problems, I am defintely not picking up a 7000. It is missing critical features I need. Somebody finally got it right on here.

Actually I'm getting a little tired of hearing about the 7000 on the 710 forum. Don't you guys h...

its not one guys opinion (I guess youre insinuating ecko)its several testers on hofo, its aldcon who was willing to trade the 710 for a 7000,its the fact that this POS (incl its cousin the 810)have been in tests n retests since last year, and IT STILL HAS BUGS!!!!!Ecko n aldcon had the latest software and it had bugs. All those testers on hofo had updated software n it still was a POS.Moto just cant make a decnt cdma phone. Plain n simple. The 710 is basically a 720 w a couple bells n whistles. You die hard moto fans, let me ask u this:You think that when the 710 is finally finally released, it will just b perfect outta the box like the 6000 or 7000? You know about half of em will b returned first week w flaws, bugs, problems. YOU KNOW IT!!!!!...

Ok..the thing is..we'll just have to wait and see...most of us do need new phones so if worst case scenario, the v710 is a lemon...we'll have no choice but to go with the next best thing and that's the lg....sorry if i sounded a bit too harsh...🙂

iz all good. remember that 2 weeks ago I was hoping that everything I heard and read from hofo was maybe wrong and ecko will prove that the 710 is great. However when he said it was w bugs, n aldcon was willing to trade his for a 7000,n there r further delays, that spoke volumes and I did a 180 n went out n got the 7000. BUT hey go for whatever u like, when u like. In 2-3 months we'll have the 8000 around n that'll b the trickest phone yet so, ther u have my 2 sheckels.

Yep, just like everything else. There is no such thing as bug free. Every version of Microsoft Windows has bugs. Maybe ecko04 and aldcon just likes LG better since a lot has to do with personal taste. Just like lots of people still swear by Nokia's and won't buy anything else and there are those who will buy everything except a Nokia. Even for Plasma displays like the one I have, I'm a Pioneer believer and that's what I bought for $12k. Other people like Panasonic's because it delivers better blacks with the lights off but the Pioneer has better colors. So it's all a personal choice of the individual and what their taste is.

On another note, today at one Verizon Wireless dealer chain in the San Francisco Bay Area, Future Wireless...

I had a test model of the vx7k just like I had a test model of the v710 both of which had the latest firmware version at the time I had them. I wonder why it is that I never once had a single problem out of the vx7k. The only difference in the phones besides the firmware in the test model of the vx7k and the one that was released is the back color scheme is all silver and on the test model you couldn't save a ringtone over 30kb but on the released model i've saved one up to 327kb about about 10 that are over 200kb.

The fact of the matter is that LG doesn't play with a ton of firmware versions for their phones. They try their best to get it right and get it right the first time instead of constantly having to go back to the drawing board. ...

Even though the LG seems perfect, I bet there are people who can still find bugs with it since it really requires stress testing of the functions sometimes. Remember, Motorola is one of the big three in terms of mobile phones so there will be flaws since the company it has more to do with quality control than anything else. LG is Lucky Goldstar and is basically good in technology but poor in build quality in pretty much all of their products. I mean even for cars, BMW's are known to be performance cars but they do have their own flaws too even for the price. Motorola seemed to have issues implementing the Qualcomm chipset but which v60 are you referring to since the v60c/i seems to be a pretty good phone. I don't know about the p/s thou...

Seems to be a lot of rationalizing on the part people who ran out and bought a 7000. Somehow they have concluded that the 710 is junk based on one guy's opinion of a pre-release model. I'll form my own opinion, thank you.

I said the same thing and i got grilled for it....at least i'm not the only one who feels this way...

Just played with the LG 7000. Nice phone but it lacks two things I want & need (of which are two different things) and that is Analog capability as I do travel to locations where that is still the only signal anyone can get and Blue tooth. The LG 7000 comes up short there. Also did not like the way the menu works. Too many steps required to listen to ring tone samples vs just scrolling through the list like on a Moto (any Moto). Camera was hard to use for the same reason. Maybe the menu is customizable (I did not play with it that long) but if not, another thumbs down.

Display was very sharp but what I've seen on pictures posted here, same as V710. In fact the display on the 7000 was the same size as my T730 and I know that the V710 will ...
