there is so much conflicting information floating around here that I really don't think anything is trustworthy at this point.

People, if you post a definitive statement, please provide a source. Even if you can't name the source directly, be creative ("an employee at a certain wireless carrier's regional headquarters," etc.). If you can't provide a source, DON'T POST IT. If you can be even more definitive regarding your source, please let us know that. If you're refuting someone else's statement, same rules should apply.

In the last couple of days, we've heard everything from a tentative August release date at best to people supposedly confirming that the phone is in retail stores already and ready for release next week. It seems like...

Everyone wanted to know why I thought this VZWSales guy was lying. The previous post is the best information that I can provide until Wednesday regarding how I know this guy is making everything up. NO ONE KNOWS ANYTHING!!!! The August release date is just as much BS as the July 6th date. However, I think I can provide some proof that it will be coming soon and the price that it will be:

This guy works for VZW and took a picture of their latest promo flyer. I know it's a little fuzzy, but the first phone is the VX-7000 and the second phone is the V710. It will be soon, but when? No one knows.

Those of you who jumped on me for calling out VZWSales need to p...

Atleast you got a better answer than I did when I called... They said they didn't know when it's coming out.

lol. hopefully it was the wrong answer and the phone actually does come out in July. Verizon is the worst when it comes to new phones, but at least my signal never drops no matter what part of the U.S I am in and I never have any other problems like other people I know who have sprint and AT&T.

Yeah because the longer I wait, the longer it'll take for the new expiration date of my contract. Not to mention, I am paying $49.99 for the $39.99 America's Choice 400 plan because I have the 8PM Unlimited Nights/Weekends and only 1000 MTM. I guess while Verizon Wireless doesn't have all the cool phones as the other ones aren't really vendor specific anyways as there are more people in the world. But atleast we know our phones will work no matter what, wherever, whenever we go.

Yep, I do not work for Verizon Wireless. I just happened to be a GTE Wireless/MobileNet customer for the last 15 years. I work for NASA as a Astrophysicist. I could afford to wait as my v60c with the v60i firmware still works and as long as the phone comes out before October 15, 2004 when I think my New Every 2 Credit expires if it does 6 months after the 2 year date, I'll be fine..

Actually, that was a picture I snapped with my V80 of one of the exclusive Verizon Exclusive dealers in the San Francisco Bay Area yesterday. I called the store as I memorized their number from over 10 years ago but the store says they don't even have the phone yet and has no ETA. I just hope the prices are real since basically, they are selling both the VX7000 and V710 at $240 before two rebates. One is the $70 Verizon Rebate and the other is the $50 rebate from the dealer which you won't get until 6 months later. Maybe I need to go take a shot of this again with my Canon PowerShot G5 instead but I hope the people inside the store doesn't come out and give me a piece of their mind. 🤣
