Motorola V710
Waiting, but not holding my breath!
I want this phone as badly as anyone else, but based on teh conversation I just had with a very nice Customer Service Rep (in the Wallingford, CT call center) I'm guessing the phone won't be out in the next week.
I called up asking when my contract expires, and the CSR (Lynette) proceeded to ask me why I am thinking about chnaging carriers. I told her that despite the fact that VZW's network is great, their phone selection is horrible.
I told her that I need to have a bluetooth capable phone by the end of the month (my contract ends the 27th) and while I would like to stay with VZW, if they aren't cap...

Maybe if I calm down, and try to forget about the phone.... hrm, wait.. that won't work 🙂
I WANT THE V710!!!!
I guess i'll just sit tight, and hope that when the phone does launch, it will be all that I expect it to be!

Well, the v710 spec sheet says "cdma2000 1xRTT"
so I'm covered there, but still clueless on understanding how it works. Any tips or suggested reading?
Thanks.

The big thing is that, just because the v710 is capable of cdma2000 1xRTT doesn't mean that they will let you use it. I wasn't properly clear in what I said.
There's really no good guides to stuff and the way that Verizon bills and organizes it changes regularly, so anything that you hear now may be obselete whenever the v710 comes out.
You want to make sur...
