Does vzw act as the ISP if you use the v710 (or other phone)? Can you only use 1xRTT if you are using their internet access services? Or, is it possible to use a cheap ISP to dial into with this phone but still use the faster connection speeds? Thanks

QNC "dials out" as a 14.4 baud modem.

1xRTT / NationalAccess / ExpressNetwork (All synonyms for the same thing) I'm not so sure about. Your computer/PDA talks to it like a modem, but I'm not sure if anybody's bothering to "dial out". I'd suspect that it's not enabled, however.

In both cases, normally, Verizon Wireless acts as the ISP, but no accounts are really needed, as such. Once you are dialed in, you connect to the 'net as you wo...
