For some time I have tried to do a search on VZW's website for "V710" It has always said nothing found. As of a couple of days ago it finds 3 entries all under "Phones" Unfort, you need to enter your zip code so in my region and a few others I randomly entered it came up with nothing but clearly they have added the phone to the database.

In a way, this was discussed last week. The reason "v710" shows up as a result in your search is because the phones listing page has "v710" listed in the key words section of the meta tags in the pages' source code as shown below:

meta name="Keywords" content="Blackberry, Motorola, Kyocera, LG, Samsung, Audiovox, phones, cell, phone, cellphone, cell ...

Just checked again and its O.K. now. Not being updated. I picked up the vx7000 to try out at my home. Need a phone for my work. I live in a rural area and my regular cell phone company is Alltel. Verizon is not offered in my area, but since the company is in an area where VZW is I thought I would try a digital phone on an America's Choice plan instead of wait for the V710. Coverage all around my house is roaming, but in my house the vx7000 says extended network. This phone looks awesome, but seriously feel that I should take it back and wait for the V710. Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Well I am still waiting for the V710. I have "played" with the 7000 and it is a nice phone but I need (and want) the additional features of Blue Tooth & Analog as I travel into rural areas often and Analog is still the only way to get signal in these areas. Until analog is completely replaced in all rural areas with a digital signal, Tri-Mode is for me.
