big update
i talked to a VZW rep by using the feature *611. I asked when the v710 will be coming out and he said not for about 1-2 months because of problems they had with the phone. sorry for the BUZZ KILL!

No offense, but we've had DOZENS of reports from VZW reps who have given DOZENS of different answers to when the phone will be out.
It may well be 1-2 months ... but then again it might not be. I don't think that these reps are necessarily fully knowledgable about when the phone will actually be released (if, indeed, a firm date has been set).

Don't think so Scooter! You talked to a Customer Service Rep who does not know jack about when new phones come out. Their calls are monitored and graded for quality and so if a Rep gives out that kind of information, they will receive a ZERO on their score (not a good thing for a CS Rep).
