Cingular anyone?

I too have been putting off getting a new phone since late march. During that month, i worked HARD researching alternative phone companies, their phones and their service. I had pretty much decided to get the Toshiba 4050 (from Sprint, think i got the model right). That phone had pretty much every band on it, i need coverage (roaming or not). I loved the screen, i hated the style of it (that case is ugly). I was going to "get over it" and buy it anyway. I had even talked to Sprint telling them that I was a 10 year customer of verizon (was bell atlantic when i started), I asked them if there was anything they could do to further "entice" me to switch. Cingular Blows.

I had Cingular for 3 years up till August of 2003. It was horrible. I never got service anywhere, my phone was constantly roaming. For two successive summers I brought my phone to Cingular to see what the problem was. In summer of 2002, they took my phone for 3 months, gave me and gave me a loaner. When I finally got it back, it still didnt work.

Summer 2003 - Same story, my phone never worked, it was always roaming and dropping calls and there was never any service. I brought it to be *Fixed* they kept it for another 2 months, I had the loaner, and when I got it back, I still never had service. I was constantly on the phone with them trying to resolve the issue and no one ever knew what to do. I kept getting dif...

Just my opinion, but as soon as the Moto 710 comes out, I'm leaving Cingular. I've had them since they were called Ameritech. Terrible coverage, customer service and the phones aren't anything to write home about ☹️ .
