Maybe it is a good idea to change the carrier?

I've been Verizon's customer for 2 years already 😕 😳 , and I got really tired of the phone I own. (kyocera 2235) I had it for two years already. I don't see any reason why not change the carrier. I don't know about other verizon customers but I had many problems with Verizon's service. 👿 👿 👿 👿 👿 Even though their wireless service is supposed to be the best, my connection is not very good, and very often my phone changes from local to roaming call even if the person that calles me is from the same city as me (Boston). Also, I've had many problems with Verizon's DSL service. It really pisses me off. 👿 👿 👿 👿
I'm planning to change my home phone carrier, and my internet connect...

In my experience with the 2235, your issues are probably more with the phone than VZW's service. Unless you're in some freakish area near a microwave tower or other transmitter that's messing with your phone. But my 2235 is a piece of junk, only I realized it too late to get any satisfaction from VZW. Try a different phone, but I wouldn't recommend switching carriers unless you know exactly where you'll be using the phone 100% of the time and you know positively that another carrier can deliver you a good signal in the entire area.

As someone else here put it, on other carriers, "if you don't have our signal then you aren't talking." Period.

Dude, I'm in Boston too and travel in and around the city quite a bit an, I've never had a problem with roaming / dropped calls or anything else. I don't know about the Kyocera phone, but I've had a Moto v60c and then v60i and currently have a crappy 120c (since the v60i died) and even that gets great reception. Must be the phone!

Ok, first of all the 2235 is a piece of crap. Everyone I know who has had it either had to bring it back because it broke, or they were constantly at our local verizon wireless store because nothing on it would work. What ever the case was, nobody liked it. Second of all, Verizon landline phones don't really have anything to do with Verizon Wireless. They are their own, individual company. The CEO of VZW is Strigl and the CEO of Verizon is Seidenburg? Siedanberg? I think, well what ever. Anyway, as you can see they have two different CEO's with different peoples running each corporation (But that doesn't mean you won't find one of the Board of Trustee's members on the administration of both companies).

Since you went over 2 years, there should be no cancellation fee. I suggest you change because although I beleive verizon has the best service, if it isnt' working for you, then it's just not for you. Even if a carrier is #1, whatever that carrier happens to be, there will always be some problems and your service is it. If your phone is old that might be the problem too. Older phones have crappy reception. Alot depends on the phone as well as the service.

Maybe you should dial *228 and upgrade your roaming capabilities, this should take care of your problem. Anxio*
