Why I'm frustrated with VZW and the V710...

VZW finally has a chance to be ahead of the other carriers in terms of having a feature loaded phone but it's delayed and delayed and delayed. They admit that they are usually the followers (and not the leaders) when it comes to phones with new features (i.e. memory card slot, MP3 player, 1.2MP camera) but they finally have a chance to get people like us to stop complaining about their phone selection and blow past all the other service providers out there. I'm happy that they have the best network out there but don't rest on your laurels because your competitors will catch up. I'm also frustrated that Motorola can't get the bugs worked out of the firmware so that Verizon will approve it. They've dealt with Verizon for years and they kno...

If I remember your handle from this and other boards properly, you and I are in the same camp - waiting for a Verizon BT phone to use with our UX-50's. *sigh*

I agree on all points - owning a 270C and V60c, Motorola isn't exactly batting a thousand when it comes to CDMA firmware.

But assuming the delay here is truly a functional issue and not Verizon trying to whack down inventories of older phones they bought, I would definitely rather have the v710 work better after a delay then badly at the outset. Verizon would too - because (and this isn't the first time this has been said here - no credit to me) consider the loud voices of maybe 100 people on this forum, who are generally educated (more than the rest of the user populati...
