Huh? What am I missing here? How does BT increase spam?!?
In fact, what will eventually happen is you walk by a store - say Starbucks and you receive a message telling you about their "specials". As more and more phones go bluetooth with will happen more and more.

Just as a background, I've been using BT for almost a year, and set up lots of pairings.
I don't see how this would happen if your Bluetooth manager on your phone is not set on the discover mode (why would you keep your phone on that mode?!?). I also don't see how the v710, which will have a limited BT implimentation, would allow a BT signal to connect to the messaging section o...

Head to your nearest ATT Wireless store and check out the V610. The V710 (according to the specs for both phones), is about .21 inches longer, and about 3 or 4 millimeters wider and deeper than the V600.
