Might be too Big.

The VX7000 feels big compared to the phone I have now, the VX6000. The moto V710 is even bigger than the VX7000. This might/might not be a problem, but I am looking forward to see the phone and hope it does not feel too big as the VX7000 felt for me. I do want bluetooth for the easy capability of using a wireless headset when I drive, but I am also worried about getting spam on a bluetooth phone, which is much easier to do than a phone without it.

With bluetooth it is very easy to send messages to any phone without having to have your number.
In fact, what will eventually happen is you walk by a store - say Starbucks and you receive a message telling you about their "specials". As more and more phones go bluetooth with will happen more and more.

Just as a background, I've been using BT for almost a year, and set up lots of pairings.

I don't see how this would happen if your Bluetooth manager on your phone is not set on the discover mode (why would you keep your phone on that mode?!?). I also don't see how the v710, which will have a limited BT implimentation, would allow a BT signal to connect to the messaging section o...

Head to your nearest ATT Wireless store and check out the V610. The V710 (according to the specs for both phones), is about .21 inches longer, and about 3 or 4 millimeters wider and deeper than the V600.

If you compare the Motorola to the VX7000 and actually look at the sizes and multiply the measurements the LG is bigger.

Don't need to... I've been using a MicroTAC Elite 1995-97. A StarTAC 8500 Analog from 1997-1998. A StarTAC 7760 from 1999 to 2000 and a StarTAC 7868W from 2000 to 2002 and then a v60c/i from 2002-currently and I felt the VX7000 yesterday, it felt like a toy phone and wasn't big at all. Don't even know why people think the phones are big. Big or small is irrevelent, it's how the ergonomics are done that matters as that determines the comfort level.
