Question about V710/Verizon

i was wondering if the v710 will be available at every verizon I don't mean the store but coverage area. Right now I am with T-mobile in New Orleans and I am going to switch to verizon bc i want the v710 soooooooo bad (my contract ends july/aug just in time hopefully) and i want to know if it will be available to all verizon areas bc i know that some phones arent available to some coverage areas does anyone know if the v710 will have area coverage restrictions. Thanks! Cant wait for this phone

The V710 is a Tri-Mode phone. It will work everywhere Verizon has coverage inclusive of analog systems.

Thanks one more question, how does transferring your # work,I live in Miami but my # is a new orleans one bc i go to school there will i be able to go to the store in Miami and have them transfer my new orleans tmobile # or do I have to do it online and how does transferring a # work. do i have to call and tell them that i am not renewing or no. Thanks

The people I know that have ported their number have just gone to their new service provider (VZW in your case) and provided them with the information and authorization necessary to port the number over. They will contact your present provider and take care of the rest. As far as having a number that is substantially geographically different than ...

No, you would not be able to port a New Orleans # to an account based out of Miami. That is why it is called LOCAL Number Portability... You can only transfer numbers within the same local geographic area, so the only way to keep your New Orleans # is to have your account started in New Orleans. Hope that clears it up.

would I be able to do it online, right now my account is a miami account w/ a new orleans area code if that makes any sense

Hey i am leaving t-mobile just to get this phone too. I live in Baton Rouge. Its nice to know I am not the only one who is crazy about getting this phone. Only one thing my contract for tmobile doesn't run out until september 4. are you m or f?
